Kingsley Community study in Christian Ministry and Theology has been available since 2006. Certificate IV and Diploma study in Christian Ministry and Theology has been available in a growing number of centres around the nation. These Kingsley Community Training Centres continue to offer training for ministry ideally suited for lay people seeking a solid basis for ministry in the local church and community, and also foundational training for pastoral candidates.
Since 2010 the study options have opened up further again. Students seeking training for a vocational ministry can receive nationally accredited training through Advanced Diploma to Vocational Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology. This is great news for those men and women who are sensing God's call into a life-time of pastoral ministry. The Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia has approved the ministry training track for candidates to prepare for ordination through study of the Vocational Graduate Certificate. Not only does the Graduate Certificate expect a high level of academic ability, but because it is Vocational training the focus is always upon application of that knowledge into hands-on ministry.
